Their new Bakersfield, California office offered 3,000 square feet of untapped potential for intake, training and business management. But "we were definitely on a budget," says Kevin Hoover, CEO. Their key challenges were to optimize the space with high quality furniture that would also have multi-use functionality and not clutter high traffic areas such as the training room and reception.
StrongProject designed an office furniture layout that would accommodate as many people as possible with room to move freely, enjoy plenty of space and preserve the outer wall's natural light and plentiful windows.
The reception area was designed and outfitted with a larger, sleek modern white reception desk where multiple individuals could be assisted at the same time, while paring contrasting black waiting chairs. The lighting from reception highlighted the unique textures of the new flooring and walls and the neutral palette complemented MidCal's red logo detail.
With regards to workstations and private offices, Hoover knew there were a few must-haves, including ergonomic options. StrongProject installed adjustable height desks in each of the seven private offices, which the staff enthusiastically use. A cutting-edge six-person cubical workstation was also maximized for the central workspace. The StrongProject team simplified the search for training room furniture by providing new tables and comfortable chairs for twenty-two people and room to stretch.
For a company that must focus on 21st century employment needs and trends, they now had a future-forward office to reflect their mission.
